South Sudan U-15 Side Set to Face Nigeria in Baku
Nigeria’s federation lists the opening meeting for Saturday, 24 October, at the FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival.

South Sudan’s U-15 boys are preparing to face Nigeria on Saturday, 24 October, at the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival in Baku, according to the Nigerian federation’s fixture announcement.
The NFF identifies the group as AD and lists Jordan, The Gambia, Cyprus and Pakistan as the other opponents. One Citizen Daily reported the South Sudanese delegation’s arrival, citing an SSFF statement.
FIFA says matches use an eight-a-side format with two 20-minute halves. The event’s structure is designed to give teams repeated matches across different tiers.
This is a fixture preview, not a result. A confirmed kick-off time for South Sudan’s opener was not established in the announcements used for this report.
For a youth team, the useful follow-up is broader than the score: playing opportunities, progression between games and the experience gained against unfamiliar opposition. Those are assessment questions, not claims about performances that have yet to happen.
SSP will use the official match record for the result. Dates should remain tied to the host schedule, with any time conversion checked before it is published.
